While many employers might not consider respect as the most significant desire among employees based on veriscreen background checks, a recent study by the Society for Human Resource Management reveals a different perspective. The survey, which reached out to more than 600 participants, found that 72% of employees identify “respectful treatment of all employees at all levels” as the key determinant of job satisfaction.
The other leading factors include the trust between employees and senior management (64%), benefits (63%), remuneration level (61%), and job security (59%). Encouragingly, 86% of the survey respondents reported being content with their current job placement, marking the highest satisfaction rate in the past ten years.
