For nearly 150 years, Thompson Chocolate, a charming factory nestled in Meriden, CT, has been ceaselessly producing its delicious treats. The bustle within the factory noticeably increases during the holiday season and leading up to Easter, marking the most active period of the year for them.
Under the stewardship of CEO Gene Dunkin, the factory manufactures an impressive 2.5 million pounds of chocolate every year. To visualize this massive quantity, it is equivalent to the weight of eight Carnival Dream cruise liners.
