The company is set to debut an updated model that illuminates when a tip is left, effectively notifying those around. This novel feature was driven by customers’ wish for confirmation that their tips were received, and a desire for recognition once they tip.
The norms around tipping, however, have turned slightly ambiguous as the habit becomes increasingly common.
